Assistance version 4.2 – and two new customer case studies

Merlinia Assistance 4.2 has now been released. This version offers a number of technical improvements, especially concerning the installation process. In addition to that version 4.2 provides support for the German language, bringing the number of supported languages to three: Danish, English and German.

Two Assistance customers, the municipalities of Fredensborg and Odder, have been kind enough to allow us to profile them on Merlinia’s web site and in our marketing material. Their words about Assistance can be found on these pages: http://www.merlinia.com/enu/AssistanceCaseStudy2.msl http://www.merlinia.com/enu/AssistanceCaseStudy1.msl

Assistance version 4.3 - now with wireless alarm units

Merlinia Assistance 4.3 has now been released. This version supports use of small wireless alarm units, as described on this web page: http://www.merlinia.com/enu/AssistanceWirelessUnits.msl

This version also allows a request for assistance to be generated by pressing both mouse buttons for 3 seconds. Now requests for assistance can come from the keyboard, from a mouse (including a wireless mouse, perhaps mounted under a tabletop) and from a small wireless unit.

Other improvements include support for Citrix and Windows Terminal Server, including support for the Assistance screensaver on these systems.

Assistance 4.4 released. Now support for sending SMSs to responders with mobile telephones.

Merlinia Assistance version 4.4 has been released. The major improvement in this version is support for sending SMSs to mobile telephones when a user has requested assistance. This makes it possible to integrate watchmen and other security personnel into the Assistance system.

Setup of the system is very flexible. Many mobile telephones can be defined, and there is a mapping that determines which mobile telephones are sent an SMS depending on who has requested assistance.
